Anotace témat

Výzkumné projekty PGS vycházejí ze zkušenosti Centra extrapyramidových onemocnění, které se mimo jiné zabývá diagnostickou, terapeutickou a výzkumnou problematikou Huntingtonovy nemoci.

Centrum úzce spolupracuje s Ústavem lékařské genetiky, s Psychiatrickou klinikou a dalšími pracovišti. Centrum je zařazeno v Evropské síti Huntingtonovy nemoci (European Huntington´s Disease Network) a podílí se na její činnosti.

V databázi Centra jsou dostupné výsledky genetických testů, strukturovaných anamnestických dat a výsledků pomocných vyšetřovacích metod včetně škál kvantifikujících hybné a neuropsychologické postižení nemocných.

Z databáze budou vybrání nemocní k další spolupráci na studiích. Pro účely klinického výzkumu budou využity také možnosti specifických MRI modalit, neuropsychologického testování psychologem zkušeným v práci s pacienty s Huntingtonovou nemocí, vyšetření logopedem zabývajícím se poruchami řeči a polykání u této nemoci atd.
